Golf Swing Analysis
We conduct a computer generated analysis of your Kinematic Sequence using Advanced Motion Measurement’s 12 Sensor System, K-Vest and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) guidelines.
What is all of this?
First, the kinematic sequence. We look at the body as having different segments such as the pelvis and the thorax (chest area). These segments each work separately i.e. do their own job but work in conjunction with each other to produce movement. In the golf swing there is a definite sequence that the body follows in all good golfers. The downswing begins in the pelvis. The pelvis accelerates and quickly slows down to transfer energy to the thorax. The thorax does the same thing and transfers power to the arms and wrists. The arms and wrists transfer power and speed to the club head. Because this all takes place in about 1/3 of a second you need a computer to be able to record the sequence – there is just too much going on for the eye to see.

Golf Swing Analysis Tools that we Use:
- AMM3D Electromagnetic 12 Sensor 6 DOF System
- Zelocity Pure Launch Tracker
- High Definition “Championship” Golf Simulator
- Exilim HD 100 Ultra High Speed camera
1. AMM3D Electromagnetic 12 Sensor 6 DOF System
We use the AMM3D Electromagnetic 12 Sensor 6 DOF System to capture and analyze your swing motion. The system’s high speed electromagnetic sensors, which are eight times faster than standard video, track the motion of each body segment as well as the golf club, and the powerful TPI 3D golf biomechanics software analyzes the results.
Within seconds of each swing, the software will play back a 3D graphical animation of your golf swing as well as your biomechanical values. These values can be compared to PGA, LPGA and Champions’ Tour databases and a complete table of all parameters at the key points in the swing highlights whether you are in or out of range at each point; this feature is great for pinpointing specific issues quickly. We can also create a database of your own swings, and note improvements as well as areas still needing attention after receiving golf instruction.
2. Zelocity Pure Launch Tracker

We have additional tools at our disposal to help you understand your golf swing. One of these is the Zelocity Pure Launch Tracker, a 3 Doppler Radar unit that measures what happens just before and after impact. It measures club head speed prior to and after impact, ball velocity, launch angle, total spin, side spin, shot deviation, angle of approach, club face angle, power transfer ratio (how close you are to the ‘sweet spot,’) carry / total distance and swing path. We also can save your metrics from one session to compare with others in the future.
3. High Definition “Championship” Golf Simulator

This is the simulator used by the PGA Center for Learning and Performance. This unit uses 65 optical elements to deliver 99.9% accuracy. It has a virtual driving range, two 18 hole golf courses and a virtual putting range. The metrics delivered include the club face angle before and after impact, angle of attack, hit distance, carry distance, club speed, ball speed, swing tempo, left/right of center in yards and captures a video of your swing from face-on and down the line for instant evaluation. The results are projected on a 9 foot by 10 foot screen, including your video.
4. Exilim HD 100 Ultra High Speed Video Camera

For ultra high speed swing evaluation we have the Exilim HD 100 video camera with video capture of 1,000 frames per second. Normal video capture is less than 30 frames per second. We can freeze the golf swing in any position. The analysis tools we use for swing evaluation and swing fault detection are the Titleist Performance Institute, TPI MySwing Viewer. We use drawing tools to evaluate the swing from address through impact to finish.
Visit our Golf Technology pages for a full explanation of how each of these technologies work.
Fitness Program Design
Our certified Personal Trainers will devise a fitness training program based on TPI guidelines and your physical profile. This program will help correct swing faults, improve accuracy, power, and avoid injury. At the end of the personal training course you will have the opportunity to be re-evaluated, using the K-VEST and TPI screenings to judge results.
Golf Instruction
Our Golf Teaching Professional, Mark Lederman, will provide instruction based on the results of your Golf Swing Analysis to help improve your strengths and overcome your weaknesses. We guarantee that you will lower your scores and significantly improve your game.
